Grupo ng mga abogadong tutol sa pagpapatalsik kay Sereno, nag-rally sa Korte Suprema
Nagtipun-tipon ngayon ang mga abugado sa harap ng Korte Suprema para kundinahin ang naging desisyon ng Kataas taasang Hukuman sa quo warranto petition na inihain ni Solicitor General Jose Calida na nagpatalsik sa pwesto kay Atty. Maria Lourdes Sereno bilang punong mahistrado.
Suot ang black armband, sumama sa protesta sina Dating Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colminares at Atty. Edre Olalia ng National Union of People’s Lawyers o NUPL.
Mayroon ding kinatawan ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) at mga law student na nakiisa sa protesta.
Bitbit nila ang mga streamer at tarpaulin na nagsasaad ng mga mensahe laban sa umano’y pag-atake sa judicial independence, pagtutol sa quo warranto decision at paglaban sa umano’y umiiral nang authoritarianism.
Tampok din sa protesta si Mae Paner o kilala rin bilang Juana Change na nagsuot ng costume ng nakapiring na Lady Justice.
Hindi bababa sa dalawampu ang sumama sa protesta at hindi naman naapektuhan ang daloy ng traffic sa Padre Faura.
Umantabay naman sa protesta ang mga pulis para matiyak ang seguridad at kaayusan ng pagkilos.
