CBCP, inendorso si Lizada bilang susunod na Ombudsman

Ito ang ipinuntong rason ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) para maging susunod na Ombudsman si Land Transportation Franchising ang Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Board member, Atty. Aileen Lizada.
Sa ipinadalang sulat sa Korte Suprema, ipinarating ni CBCP President at Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles ang suporta kay Lizada sa naturang posisyon.
Aniya pa, “crime buster” at “anti-graft lawyer” si Lizada nang manungkulan sa Office of the Ombudsman for Mindanao.
Ipinamalas din aniya ni Lizada ang dedikasyong labanan ang korapsyon nang walang takot.
Ipinagmalaki rin ni Valles ang 12 taong serbisyo ni Lizada bilang Ombudsman sa Mindanao.
Samantala, nominado rin si Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo De Castro bilang susunod na Ombudsman.
Nakatakdang mabakante ang naturang posisyon sa pagtatapos ng termino ni Conchita Carpio-Morales sa July 2018.
