Pakakawalan na ng gobyerno ng Kuwait ang tatlong diplomat na una nang isinailalim sa restriction ang mga galaw dahil sa ginawang rescue operation sa mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) doon.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, maaaring i-release na ang tatlong diplomat sa susunod na dalawa o tatlong araw.
Bunga aniya ito ng pakikipag-usap ng delegasyon ng Pilipinas kay Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Al-Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah.
Sa ngayon, pino-proseso na aniya ng interior ministry ang pagrerelease sa tatlong diplomat.
Ayon kay Roque, sasagutin na rin ng Kuwait ang gastusin ng pag-uwi sa Pilipinas ng 500 undocumented Filipinos sa kanilang bansa.
Ayon pa kay Roque, may ipinadala ring personal message ang pamilya ng Al Sabah kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Kasama sa pagpupulong ni Roque sina Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, dating Labor Secretary Marianito Roque, Labor Attache Rustico Dela Fuente, at Deputy Chief of Mission in Kuwait Mohd Noordin Lomondot.
