Malacañang dedma sa pagbabalik ni Sereno sa Supreme Court
Dumistansya ang Malacañang sa pagbabalik trabaho ngayong araw ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, panloob na usapin ng Supreme Court ang pagliban ni Sereno sa kanyang trabaho ng dalawang buwan matapos ang kanyang indifinite leave.
Nagpahinga si Sereno sa kanyang trabaho sa gitna ng kinakaharap na impeachment complaint sa kongreso at quo warranto petition sa Supreme Court pero naging abal naman siya sa pagpuna sa administrasyon.
Ayon kay Roque, kinikilala ng sangay ng ehekutibo ang judicial independence ng hudikatura.
Iginagalang aniya ng palasyo ang separtion powers ng tatlong sangay ng pamahalaan na ehekutibo, lehislatura at hudikatura.
“On the case of CJ Sereno The decision of Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno to end her indefinite leave and the reported ruling of the quo warranto petition against the Chief Justice are internal matters to the High Court”, ayon kay Roque.
Sa Biyernes ay inaasahang dedesisyunan na ng mga mahistrado ng Supreme Court ang quo warranto petition laban kay Sereno.
