250 toneladang isda, namatay sa Obando, Bulacan

Namatay ang tone-toneladang isda sa Obando, Bulacan, ayon sa Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).

Ayon kay BFAR Central Luzon Director Wilfredo Perez, aabot sa 250 toneladang isda, gaya ng bangus at tilapia ang namatay.

Aniya, noong Sabado napansin ang unti-unting pagkamatay ng mga isda, pero sabay-sabay namatay ang mga ito noong linggo.

Ayon sa BFAR, matinding init at kakulangan ng oxygen ang dahilan ng fish kill.

Apektado ng fish kill higit 100 ektarya ng palaisdaan sa mga barangay ng Catanghalan, Hulo, Lawa, Paco, Pag-asa, Paliwas, Panghulo, San Pascual at Tawiran.

Sa pagtaya ni Obando Mayor Edwin Santos, nasa P30 hanggang P50 milyong piso ang halaga ng pinsala ng fish kill.

Sinusuri naman ng BFAR ang tubig sa palaisdaan.
