Sister Patricia Fox nanindigan na wala siyang nilabag na batas sa bansa

Umapela ang Australian missionary na si Sister Patricia Fox sa Bureau of Immigration (BI) na ibasura ang kaso laban sa kanya.

Sa inihain 26-pahinang counter-affidavit ng madre, iginiit nito na walang basehan ang reklamo laban sa kanya at wala siyang nilalaban na patakaran kaugnay ng kanyang missionary visa.

Iginiit pa ni Sister Pat na hindi siya lumahok sa anumang anti-government rally gaya ng sinasabi ni Immigration Intelligence Officer Melody Penelope Gonzales.

“I say that there is absolutely no factual and legal basis for the claims that I openly and actively participated in political or partisan activity or that I violated the conditions or limitations under which the missionary visa was issued by the bureau in my favor,” pagtutuwid ng madre.

Binigyang diin pa nito na ang mga aktibidad na kanyang sinasalihan ay may kaugnayan sa kanyang tungkulin bilang alagad ng simbahan gaya ng mga fact-finding missions, press conference at iba pang okasyon para maipalaganap ang salita ng Diyos.

Noong April 16, inaresto si Sister Pat ng immigration agents sa alegasyon na rin ng paglabag sa itinatakda ng kanyang missionary visa.

Kasunod nito ay kinansela ng B.I ang kanyang visa at binigyan lamang ng temporary visitor’s visa.
