Kauna-unahang missile system ng Pilipinas natanggap na ng Navy
Natanggap na ng Philippine Navy ang kauna-unahan nitong Spike-ER short range surface-to-surface missiles.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Department of National Defense (DND) spokesperson Arsenio Andolong na sumasailalim sa Integration Phase ng Rafael Advanced Defense Systems ng bansang Israel ang naturang missile system.
Bukod dito ay ibinigay ng Israel ang Typhoon MLS-ER launchers at Mini Typhoon 12.77mm remote controlled weapons systems.
Ayon sa isang senior official ng Philippine Navy, mapapalakas ng mga naturang armas ang mga operasyon ng kanilang hanay.
Ilalagay ang Spike ER missile sa tatlong Mark III model ng multi-purpose attack craft (MPAC) ng Navy.
