FOI desk pinabubuo ng Napolcom sa mga police office
Mas magiging madali na ang access sa mga dokumento sa himpilan ng pulisya makaraang atasan ng National Police Commission (Napolcom) ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na bumuo ng freedom of information (FOI) desks sa lahat ng police territorial units sa buong bansa.
Nilagdaan ni Napolcom Vice Chairman at Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio Casurao ang Resolution No. 2018-182, na nag-aapruba sa pagbuo ng FOI desk sa ilalim ng Public Information Division (PID) ng PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR).
Ayon kay Casurao ang PID ang pangunahing pagkukuhanan ng mga impormasyon sa lahat ng himipilan ng pulisya sa bansa.
Sa ilalim ng resolusyon, inaprubahan din ang pagbuo ng Regional FOI Sections sa ilalim ng Regional Police-Community Relations Divisions ng Police Regional Offices.
Ang FOI desks ang magiging responsible sa paghawak, pagtanggap, pag-evaluate, pag-prosesom pag-dispatch at pagmonitor sa lahat ng “requests for access” sa mga PNP-related information.
Ang FOI Section ng PID at FOI sections o desks sa buong bansa ay mamanduhan ng 2,157 uniformed personnel na bubuuin ng 124 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) at 2,033 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs).
Naipadala na ng Napolcom ang kopya ng resolusyon sa Department of Budget and Management para sa paglalaan ng budget para makakuha ng dagdag na 2,033 non-uniformed personnel.
