Filipino journalist, tumanggap ng Pulitzer Prize sa pag-uulat ng war on drugs

Tumanggap ng Pulitzer Prize ang isang Filipino journalist kaugnay sa pag-uulat ng war on drugs ng Duterte administration.

Si Manuel “Manny” Mogato, at mga kasamahan niyang sina Clare Baldwin at Andrew R.C. Marshall mula sa international news agency na Reuters ay kinilala sa pag-uulat nila kampanya ng pamahalaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kontra ilegal na droga.

Ang tatlo ang nasa likod ng seryeng “Duterte’s War” na inilabas ng Reuters na sumentro sa madugong war on drugs sa bansa.

Sa panayam ng INQUIRER.net sinabi ni Mogato na “team effort” ang nasabing ulat.

“It was a team effort. Every one in the Manila bureau did their job but it was months of hardwork and I admired the courage, strength, and perseverance of the team to pursue the drugs war story,” ayon kay Mogato.

Si Mogato ay political at general news correspondent ng Reuters sa Pilipinas.

Ang Pulitzer ay maituturing na “most prestigious” na pagkilala sa larangan ng American journalism.
