Cabinet Sec. Jun Evasco, inalis na bilang chairman ng NFA council
Tanggal na bilang chairman ng National Food Authority (NFA) Council si Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco.
Ayon sa isang source, “out na si Evasco” sa re-organized NFA council ngayong ibinalik na sa Department of Agriculture (DA) ang pangangasiwa sa NFA.
Pero bago pa man ginawa ang pagtanggal kay Evasco, kinausap muna siya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong Lunes ng gabo.
Dahil dito umapela na rin ang Development Bank of the Philippines o DBP na alisin na sila bilang miyembro ng konseho.
Ang NFA executive committee ay bubuuin na ng mga kinatawan mula sa DA, DOF, NFA at Office of the President.
Ang importasyon ng bigas ay sa ilalim na ng pangangasiwa ni DA Usec. Berna Romulo-Puyat.
Magiging bagong miyembro naman ng konseho ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Agad ding pinulong ng panvulo ang mga miyembro ng re-organized NFA council kasama ang mga rice traders.
