Sotto: Media organizations dapat magtulungan laban sa fake news
Hinikayat ni Senate Majority Leader Tito Sotto ang mga organisasyon ng mainstream media na makipagtulungan sa Facebook para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng mga fake news.
Tiwala si Sotto na malaki ang maitutulong ng mga lehitimong organisasyon ng media sa paglaban kontra sa mga pekeng balita na nagiging viral sa social media.
Binanggit ni Sotto ang National Press Club, Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, Publishers Association of the Philippines at National Union Journalists of the Philippines.
Giit nito kung marami ang nagbabantay sa mga fake news mas malaki ang posibilidad na hindi na kakalat pa ang mga ito.
Naniniwala rin si Sotto na ang tamang impormasyon ang mabisang pantapat sa mga fake news lalo na sa online market.
