Party of European Specialist official pinagbawalang pumasok sa bansa
Nanindigan ang Malacañang na may kapangyarihan ang pamahalaan na mamili kung sinong mga dayuhan ang
papayagang makapasok sa bansa.
Tugon ito ng palasyo sa pagharang ng Bureau of Immigration kay Party of European Specialist Giacomo Filibeck sa Mactan Cebu International Airport.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, sa ilalim ng international law ay mayroong soberanya ang isang bansa kung sino ang papayagan na makapasok sa kanilang teritoryo.
Hindi aniya obligado ang Pilipinas na patuluyin ang sinumang dayuhan.
Nanindigan pa si Roque na isa si Filibeck sa mga dayuhang hindi welcome sa Pilipinas.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra na labag sa batas ang ginagawa ng mga banyaga na pumunta sa pilipinas para lamang mamulitika.
“Well, alam ninyo in international law, it is always a sovereign decision whom they wish to allow into their territory. So we are not obliged to allow anyone into our territory if we do not want them in our territory”, ayon pa sa opisyal.
Dagdag pa ni Guevarra, “Unfortunately, the socialist leader was one of those that we determine as a person that we don’t want to be in our territory. There is no rule under international law that will compel us to admit anyone whom we do not want to admit in our territory. That’s the exercise of sovereignty”.
