“Now, therefore, the Commission, by virtue of the powers vested in it by the Constitution, the Omnibus Election Code and other election laws, resolved, as it hereby resolves, to request the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, to declare May 14, 2018 as a special (nonworking) holiday throughout the country in connection with the synchronized barangay and sangguniang kabataan elections,” ayon sa resolusyon ng Comelec.
