Operasyon ng Uber sa Pilipinas tatagal hanggang sa April 15
Sinabi ng Grab Philippines na handa silang balikatin ang mga gastusin ng Uber operations sa loob ng susunod na isang linggo.
Ito ay makaraang hindi masunod ngayong araw ang pagtake-over ng Grab sa operasyon ng Uber.
Ayon sa inilabas na advisory ng Grab Philippines, “Considering that Uber has exited the region on 25 March and clearly stated during the public hearing its incapacity to fund the operations in the Philippines, the parties have agreed to keep the Uber app operational with Grab bearing the costs, to give drivers and consumers time to adjust to Uber’s departure.”
Ipinag-utos ng Philippine Competition Commission na ipagpaliban muna pansamantala ang merger ng Uber at Grab sa bansa habang isinasailalim pa sa review ang kanilang mga dokumento.
Bukod sa Pilipinas, itinigil na rin ng Uber ang kanilang operasyon sa walo pang mga bansa sa Southeast Asia.
Samantala, sinabi naman ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board na kasalukuyan pa nilang pinag-aaralan ang aplikasyon ng iba pang mga Transport Network Companies sa bansa.
