Sen. Poe, ikinatuwa ang matagumpay na maintenance and repair works ng MRT nitong Holy Week

Pinuri ni Sen. Grace Poe ang Department of Transportation sa matagumpay nitong maintenance works sa Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 noong nakaraang linggo na nagbigay daan sa 13 tumatakbong tren sa kasalukuyan.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng senadora na nawa’y ang magandang pangyayaring ito ang maging simula na ng pag-ayos ng serbisyo ng MRT at matabunan na ang teribleng tala o record ng mga naging aberya nito.

“We hope this will be the start of the promised resurrection of MRT’s services and the reversal of its abysmal record of unfortunate events. We also hope this would alleviate the sufferings of the commuters who brave the long queues every day to get a ride, and often get off-loaded when the train encounters technical glitches.”, ani Poe.

Umaasa rin si Poe na matutupad ng ahensya ang pangako nitong maitaas sa 20 ang tumatakbong tren ng MRT.

Sa ngayon anya ay mas mabuti na ang 13 tumatakbong tren at planong 20 kaysa sa pito o walo noong mga nakaraang linggo.

“We look forward to the DOTr’s promise to increase the running trains to 20, each having four-car configuration to transport more passengers at a faster pace.”, dagdag pa ng senadora.

Samantala, umaasa rin si Poe na makaririnig siya ng developments mula sa DOTr kaugnay ng isyu ng Dalian trains.

Sinabi ng senadora na siya ring chairman ng Senate Committee on Public Services na patuloy siyang magbabantay hanggang magkaroon ng train system na maayos dahil deserving ang publiko rito.

Noong Lunes, matagumpay na nakapagdeploy ang MRT ng 15 tumatakbong tren na kauna-unahan simula noong January 5 matapos ang limang araw na puspusang maintenance activities.
