Recount sa Vice Presdiential race, welcome sa palasyo ng Malakanyang
Ipinauubaya na ng palasyo ng Malakanyang sa Presidential Electoral Tribunal ang recount sa Vice Presidential race sa katatapos na 2016 elections.
Ito ay matapos maghain ng electoral protest si dating senador Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. laban kay Vice President Leni Robredo.
Ayon kay Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Menardo Guevarra, welcome sa palasyo ng Malakanyang ang recount para tuluyan nang matuldukan ang sigalot sa Vice Presidential race.
Isa aniyang judicial matter ang usapin sa recount kung kaya mas makabubuting hayaan na ng palasyo ang Presidential Electoral Tribunal na gawin ang tungkulin nito bilang isang co equal branch.
“Well the Palace welcomes the recount ‘no para ma-settle na iyang long festering dispute na iyan ‘no. Well other than that, this is a judicial matter; this is before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal already. So we leave it to the co-equal branch to handle that” ayon kay Guevarra.
