ASG leader at 13 niyang tauhan sumuko sa militar
Sumuko sa Joint Task Force Basilan si Abu Sayyaf Group leader Nhurhassan Jamiri kasama ang kaniyang 13 mga tauhan.
Ayon kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, kinumpirma sa kaniya ni Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez Jr. commander ng Western Mindanao Command ang pagsuko ng grupo ni Jamiri.
Umaasa naman si Lorenzana na magreresulta na ito sa tuluy-tuloy nang pagkabuwag ng teroristang grupo.
Ang grupo ni Jamiri ay sumuko sa mga tauhan ng Joint Task Force Basilan na binubuo ng 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion, 8th at 9th Scout Ranger Companies, 104th Infantry Brigade, 74th Infantry Battalion, at 14LAC noong. Miyerkules ng umaga
Isinuko din nila ang 10 high-powered firearms, 40 assorted ammunition magazines, 651 na piraso ng live ammunition, MK52 fragmentation grenade, at walong bandoleers.
Kabilang sa mga matataas na kalibre ng baril na isinuko sa militar ang pitong M16 rifles, M4 carbine, M653 rifle, at M14 rifle.
