Quo warranto petition vs Sereno ipinababasura ng IBP
Ipinababasura ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) sa Korte Suprema ang quo warranto petition laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Argumento ng IBP, may butas ang quo warranto petition na inihain ni Solicitor General Jose Calida dahil ang Judicial and Bar Council mismo ay hindi ni-require si Sereno na magsumite ng kanyang Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth mula 2001 hanggang 2006.
Iginiit ng IBP na walang malinaw na intensyon ng pag-iwas si Sereno sa sa constitutional requirement na makasisira sa kanyang integridad.
