BBL, prayoridad ng Senado kaysa sa Sereno impeachment – Sen. Sotto

Inihayag ni Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na prayoridad ng Senado ang panukalang Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) kaysa sa pagdinig ng impeachment case laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

Sa isang forum, sinabi ni Sotto na duda siyang uunahin ng Senado ang impeachment case sa pagbabalik ng sesyon sa May 15, 2018.

Oras na maisumite ang articles of impeachment laban kay Sereno sa Senado, sisimulan na aniya ng upper chamber na nagsisilbing impeachment court ang pagdinig sa unang linggo ng Agosto.

Noong March 19, 2018, matatandaang inaprubahan ng House committee on Justice ang articles of impeachment laban kay Sereno.
