Isang catering firm mula Japan nais tumanggap ng 1,000 OFWs

May good news ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) partikular sa mga pinauwi mula sa bansang Kuwait.

Ito ay dahil sa kagustuhan ng isang Japanese catering firm na tumanggap ng 1,000 OFWs kung saan sasahod ang mga ito ng US $800.

Ayon kay DOLE Secretary Silvestre Belllo III, nakipagpulong siya sa ilang negosyanteng Hapon at tinatarget anya ng mga ito na alukin ng trabaho na may kinalaman sa catering service ang mga napauwing OFW mula Kuwait.

“They want to hire our repatriates in their catering business. They are offering a very good salary of 800 (US) dollars. That is twice what they are receiving now,” ani Bello.

Ang naturang sahod anya ay doble pa sa sahod na nakuha ng mga pinoy workers.

Tiwala umano ang kalihim na hindi mahihirapan ang mga OFWs dahil sa taglay nitong mga skills partikular ang cooking at cleaning na bahagi ng catering.

“Their skills as household service workers, they do cooking and cleaning. In catering it also involves food so it is not difficult to absorb them. It’s a blessing. I’m ecstatic,” dagdag ni Bello.

Maaari anyang mangyari ang hiring ng OFWs sa loob ng dalawang buwan batay sa naging pag-uusap.

Nasa 2,000 ang napauwing OFWs ayon kay Bello at kalahati anya ng bilang na ito ang maaaring tanggapin ng Japanese businessmen.
