Ngayong araw ang nationwide transport strike ang Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) bilang pagprotesta sa jeepney phaseout program ng pamahalaan.
Ayon kay Piston President George San Mateo, lahat ng kanilang mga miyembrong jeepney driver, operator, at mga trabahador ay handang makiisa sa kanilang isasagawang protesta.
Magaganap ang main rally sa Cubao, sa kahabaan ng Aurora Boulevard, ngunit mayroong ding mga kilos protesta sa Alabang Viaduct, Monumento Circle, Novaliches-Bayan, at Anda Circle.
Nagsimula ang transport holiday dakong alas-12:01 ng hatinggabi, habang alas-6 naman ng umaga magsisimula ang programa sa iba’t ibang rally centers.
