Paggamit ng bastos na lenggwahe ng Pangulo laban sa UN officials, OK lang ayon sa Palasyo

Nanindigan ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang na tama lang ang pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ipakain sa buwaya ang mga taga human rights ng United Nations na patuloy na bumabatikos sa kanyang kampanya kontra sa ilegal na droga.

Ayon kay presidential spokesman Harry Roque, hindi kasi akma ang naging pahayag ni United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights at Eid Bin Ra’ad al-Hussein na sumailalim na sa psychiatric test ang pangulo.

Nag-ugat ang pahayag ni Al-Hussien sa pagbatikos naman ni Pangulong Duterte kay UN special rapporteur Agnes Callamard na nagsabing nauwi na sa extra judicial killings ang war on drugs sa bansa.

Paliwanag ni Roque, bagamat mahalaga ang soberenya ng UN system, kinakailangan na irespeto pa rin nito ang head of state gaya ni Duterte.

Sinabi pa ni Roque na mali na gumamit ng bastos na lenggawahe ang UN official dahil wala itong demokratikong mandato hindi kagaya ni Duterte na inihalal ng taong bayan.

“No, there’s a world of difference between a UN official using crude language against a sitting head of state and the President using any kind of language that he wants on a private individual. Especially in this instance, when the person using the crude language is himself without a democratic mandate.” Paliwanag ni Roque.
