Nakararaming Pinoy pabor na maisabatas ang divorce – SWS

Mahigit 50 percent ng mga Pinoy sa bansa ang suportado ang pagsasabatas ng divorce sa bansa para sa mga mag-asawang hindi na kayang maayos pa ang pagsasama.

Ito ay lumitaw sa survey na isinagawa ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) noong March 2017 at December 2017.

Ayon sa survey, 53 percent ang adult Filipinos sa bansa ang sang-ayon sa pahayag na ang mag-asawa na hiwalay at malabo nang muling maiayos ang pagsasama ay dapat mapayagan na makapag-divorce para muling makapagpakasal.

Sa mga sumagot, 30 percent ang sinabing sila ay “strongly agree” at 23 percent ang “somewhat agree”.

Nasa 32 percent naman ang tumutol, kabilang dito ang 22 percent na sumagot ng “strongly disagree” at 10 percent na “somewhat disagree”. Habang 15 percent ang undecided.

Magugunitang naipasa kamakailan sa House Committee on Population and Family Relations sa kamara ang panukalang divorce law sa bansa.
