IT Chief ng Korte Suprema na tumestigo vs Sereno nagbitiw sa pwesto
Nagbitiw sa pwesto ang pinuno ng Management Information System Office (MISO) ng Korte Suprema na si Carlos Garay.
Si Garay ay tumestigo pa laban kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno sa kasagsagan ng impeachment proceedings sa Kamara.
Ayon sa isang court insider, tinanggap ng SC en banc ang pagbibitiw sa pwesto ni Garay na nagpasa ng kanyang resignation letter na epektibo noong February 28.
Sa kanyang naging testimonya sa House Committee on Justice iginiit ng opisyal na hindi niya inaprubahan ang pagtanggap sa Informations Technology (IT) expert na si Helen Macasaet.
Napaulat na kumita ng P250,000 kada buwan o 11 milyong piso sa apat na taon si Macasaet.
Gayunman, iginiit ni Garay na ang serbisyo ni Macasaet ay hindi kailangan sa implementasyon ng multibillion peso project ng korte na Enterprise Information Systems Plan (EISP).
