Quo warranto petition vs Sereno, tatalakayin sa SC bukas
Tatalakayin ng Korte Suprema bukas, araw ng Martes, ang quo warranto petition na inihain ng Office of the Solicitor General na layong paalisin si Chief Jusitce Ma. Lourdes Sereno sa kanyang pwesto ng wala ng impeachment trial.
Ayon sa mga source sa Supreme Court, isinama na ang petisyon ng Solgen sa agenda ng en banc bukas.
Ayon kay Solicitor General Jose Calida, ang quo warranto petition ay ang tamang hakbang dahil iligal ang pag-upo ni Sereno sa kanyang posisyon.
Ang garapal aniyang pagbalewala ni Sereno na sumunod sa requirements ng batas at konstitusyon ay patunay na wala itong integridad kaya unlawful ang pagiging punong mahistrado nito.
