P2 Million na utang sa buwis ni Sereno idinetalye ng BIR
Aabot sa mahigit sa P2 Million na buwis ang hindi binayaran ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ayon kay Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Deputy Commissioner for Operations Arnell Guballa, nasa P2.014M ang tax deficiency ni sereno kung saan ang karamihan dito ay Value Added Tax (VAT).
Paliwanag ni Guballa, nagmula ito sa anim na tax deficiency ng Punong Mahistrado mula taong 2005 hanggang 2009.
Kaugnay sa alegasyon ni Atty. Larry Gadon na kumita si Sereno ng P37 Million sa PIATCO case ay sinabi ni Guballa na base sa Office of the Solicitor General records P32 Million ito na mas mataas din sa P30 Million na sinabi ng kampo ni Sereno sa komite.
Hinihintay pa naman ng BIR ang ibang sources ng tax records ni Sereno tulad kabilang ang kanyang records noong siya pa ay law professor sa University of the Philippines.
