Requirements sa pagpasok ng telco player pinagaan ng DICT
Inalis na ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ang P10 Billion capital requirement sa pangatlong telecommunications company.
Inanunsyo ito ni DICT Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary Eliseo Rio sa ikalawang public consultation sa Quezon City.
Sinabi ni Rio na hindi na ang halaga ng pamumuhunan ng bidders ang pagbabasehan nila, kundi ang serbisyo na iaalok ng bidders gaya ng bilis ng internet at actual resource nito.
Una nang inilabas ng DICT at National Telecommunications Commission (NCT) noong February 19 ang joint memorandum circular kung saan kinakailangang may P10 Billion capital ang bidders.
Ipinahayag ng DICT na isasapinal nila ang terms of reference sa April 9.
Sa May 24 naman magsisimulang tumanggap ng bids ang kagawaran.
