Sa kaniyang opening statement, sinabi ni Senator Richard Gordon, committee chairman, na hindi dapat matakot ang publiko sa iba pang mga bakuna.
Aniya hindi dapat balewalain ang mga bakuna ng gobyerno nang dahil sa isyu ng Dengvaxia.
Makatutulong aniya ang mga ito para maiwasan ang epidemia na maaring maidulot ng mga sakit.
