“Quo warranto proceedings” gagamitin para mapatalsik si Sereno
Isang abogado ang plano ngayong hilingin na palayasin sa puwesto si Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Nabatid na hihilingin bukas ng umaga ni Atty. Eligio Mallari sa Office of the Solicitor General na maghain ito ng quo warranto proceeding laban sa Chief Justice.
Iginigiit ng abogado na hindi kwalipikado si Sereno sa kasalukuyan nitong posisyon dahil bagsak nitong psychologic test.
Isa rin sa mga argumento laban sa punong mahistrado ang hindi pagsusumite ni Sereno ng kanyang Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Networth (SALN) ng maraming taon bago ang appointment nito sa Chief Justice.
Ang quo warranto proceeding ay isang ligal na paraan ng pagkwestiyon sa kwalipikasyon ng isang opisyal ng gobyerno sa kanyang hawak na posisyon.
Si Sereno ay nahaharap din ngayon sa impeachment proceeding sa Kamara.
