Sinuspindeng apat na ERC commissioners nakakuha ng TRO sa korte

Nagpalabas ng temporary restraining order (TRO) ang Court of Appeals (CA) sa suspensyon na ipinataw sa apat na opisyal ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Ayon kay ERC Chairperson Agnes Devanadera nakakuha ng 60 araw ng TRO ang mga sinuspindeng commissioners ng ERC.

Mangangahulugan ito na hindi muna maipapatupad ang one-year suspensyon na ipinataw ng Office of the Ombudsman laban kina ERC Commissioners Alfredo Non, Gloria Victoria Yap-Taruc, Josefina Patricia Asirit, at Geronimo Sta. Ana.

Ang apat ay sinuspinde dahil sa umano ay hindi pagsasama sa Manila Electric Company (Meralco) at iba pang kumpanya sa competitive selection process (CSP).

Pinaghahain ng CA ang apat na commissioners ng bond na ang halaga ay katumbas ng tatlong buwan nilang sweldo.

Una nang napatunayan ng Ombudsman na dapat managot sa kasong “conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service aggravated by simple misconduct and simple neglect of duty” ang apat na opisyal.

Noong Enero, sumulat pa ang Malacañang kay Devanadera para atasan itong ipatupad ang suspension order.
