Si Viterbo na isang tax lawyer ay inappoint ni dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III sa pwesto nooong May 2014 at mayroong termino na tatagal sana hanggang May 2021.
Nanilbihan din si Viterbo bilang miyembro ng board ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).
