Deployment ng mga OFW sa Kuwait, sinuspinde na ng DOLE
Sinuspinde na ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang pagpapaalis ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) patungo sa Kuwait.
Effective immidiately ang kautusan ni Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III sa Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
Inatasan ni Bello ang POEA na itigil na ang pag-proseso sa overseas employment certificates ng mga OFW na patungong Kuwait.
Una nang sinabi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nais niyang magpatupad ng total ban sa pagpapadala ng OFWs sa Kuwait dahil sa pagmamalupit at sexual abuses na nararanasan lalo na ng mga kababaihan.
