48 dayuhang terorista nagsasanay ng mga ni-recruit sa Mindanao

Apatnapu’t walong dayuhang terorista ang sangkot umano sa pagsasanay sa mga Pilipinong ni-recruit sa Mindanao.

Ipinahayag ito ni Major General Fernando Trinidad, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, sa kanyang pagharap sa isinasagawang oral arguments sa Korte Suprema kaugnay ng mga petisyon kontra martial law extension sa Mindanao.

Ayon kay Trinidad, nabantayan ng militar ang pagpasok ng mg terorista mula Egypt, Indonesia, at Malaysia. Nagpapanggap umano ang mga dayuhang terorista na mga turista at negosyante, at pumapasok sa katimugang bahagi ng bansa.

Dagdag ni Trinidad, bagaman nagtapos na ang Marawi siege, muling bumubuo ng grupo ang mga rebelde sa pamamagitan ng pag-recruit ng 400 katao. Aniya, sinasanay ang mga ito sa marksmanship, urban warfare, at paggamit ng improvised explosive devices.

Sinabi ng AFP official na tatangkain ng mga rebelde na gayahin ang Marawi siege sa iba pang bahagi ng Mindanao para magtayo ng ISIS Caliphate.
