Hindi papayagan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na maging regional center ng ISIS ang Pilipinas.
Sa talumpati ng pangulo sa 82nd anniversary ng Armed Forces of the Philippines sa Camp Aguinaldo sa Quezon City, sinabi nito na hindi niya papayagan na magtagumpay ang idelohiya ng Daesh sa bansa.
Ayon kay Duterte, “We will not allow those who subscribe to the Daesh ideology to succeed. We will never allow the Islamic State to make the Philippines its regional center”.
Sinabi pa ng pangulo na bamaga’t napagtagumpayan na ng gobyerno ang giyera sa Marawi City ay hindi pa tapos ang laban.
Mananatili aniyang magiging mapagmatyag ang gobyerno at paiigtingin pa ang operasyon ng militar laban sa mga natitirang terorista sa Pilipinas.
Sinabi pa ng pangulo na susuportahan ng gobyerno ang mga sundalo bilang pasasalamat dahil sa patuloy na pakikipaglaban para sa bayan.
Dagdag pa ni Duterte, “I now return the favor to our troops who made the supreme sacrifice, suffered injuries and went beyond the call of duty. Be assured that the government will support all of your endeavors as we realize a stronger and more resilient government”.
