ASEAN Summit: Generally peaceful ayon sa DILG
Inihayag ni Interior and Local Government Officer-in-Charge Catalino Cuy na matagumpay ang idinaos na 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nation Summit.
Sa isang press conference, sinabi ni Cuy na nagsilbing Chairman ng ASEAN Committee on Security, Peace and Order and Emergency Preparedness and Response (CSPOEPR) na matagumpay na nagampanan ang tungkulin ng mga otoridad kung saan nakapagtala ng “zero incident” dito.
Aniya pa, naging susi sa matagumpay na pagtutok sa ASEAN- related activities ang pagkakaisa at kooperasyon ng mga local government units.
Lahat aniya ng nakadeploy na tauhan ay maiging nagbantay para matiyak ang seguridad at kaligtasan ng mga delegado at publiko.
Ipinaliwanag pa ni Cuy, na naging epektibo ang ipinairal na maximum tolerance ng mga pulis sa mga ralyista.
