Philippine Air Force, magkakaroon na ng bagong hepe

Dating namuno sa pagbabantay sa West Philippine Sea ang senior military officer na napiling maging susunod na commanding general ng Philippine Air Force (PAF).

Si Lt. Gen. Galileo Kintanar na hepe ng Western Command na ang papalit kay Lt. Gen. Edgar Fallorina na bababa na sa pwesto sa pagsapit niya sa mandatory retirement age na 56.

Pangungunahan naman ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang turnover ceremonies sa Clark Air Base mamaya.

Si Kintanar ay miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy “Sandiwa” Class of 1985.

Dati na siyang naitalagang mamuno sa Air Education and Training Command, chief of air staff ng PAF, commander ng 15th Strike Wing at pinuno naman ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Office for Strategic Studies.

Inilarawan naman siya ni AFP Chief Gen. Eduardo Año bilang isang “silent, strategic thinker” at isang “tested and ace pilot ng PAF.”

Samantala, si Año rin ay nakatakda nang mag-retiro sa Huwebes.
