Atty. Gadon: Duterte dapat gawing special prosecutor sa impeachment ni Sereno
Iminungkahi ni Atty. Larry Gadon na maging special prosecutor si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa impeachment case ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Ayon kay Gadon na siyang naghain ng impeachment complaint kay Sereno, wala naman umanong batas na nagbabawal sa pangulo na makibahagi sa paglilitis.
Anya, sakaling aprubahan, hindi naman din daw iiral ang impluwensya ni Duterte sa impeachment proceedings dahil naniniwala sya na hindi naman nito kaya diktahan ang desisyon ng mga mambabatas.
Kasunod ito ay kanyang pinagmalaki ang sufficiency of the grounds for impeachment” kung saan 25 ang pumabor samantalang dalawa lamang ang tutol.
Batay sa inihaing impeachment complaint si Sereno ay dapat umanong ma-impeach dahil sa culpable violation of the Constitution; Corruption, High Crimes at Betrayal of Public Trust.
Samantala, kinontra naman ng ilang mambabatas ang pahayag ni Gadon kabilang na si Deputy Speaker Fredenil Castro, Rep. Bernadette Herrera-Dy at Rep. Prospero Pichay at sinabing kung may special prosecutor man na kukunin ay dapat sa legislative branch ito mangyri at hind mula sa executive.
