Panukalang 2018 national budget, sinertipikahang urgent ni Pangulong Duterte
Sinertipikahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bilang urgent bill ang panukalang national budget para sa 2018.
Sa liham ng Pangulo kay House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, sinertipikahan nito na dapat agad ipasa ang House Bill 6215 o ang Act Appropriating Funds for the Country from January 1 to December 31, 2018.
Iginiit ni Duterte na dapat panatiliin ang operasyon ng gobyerno matapos ang 2017, pabilisin ang pagpondo sa iba’t ibang programa sa susunod na taon at tiyakin na financially prepared ang pamahalaan na matupad nito ang mandato alinsunod sa konstitusyon.
Inaasahan na maaprubahan ng Kamara Martes ng gabi ang panukalang mahigit P3.7 trillion na 2018 national budget.
Ang Senado naman ay nagsasagawa ng hiwalay na pagdinig sa proposed budget ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno sa committee level.
