Red alert, itinaas ng NGCP sa Visayas grid
Itinaas ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ang red alert sa Visayas grid dahil sa kapos na suplay ng kuryente.
Ilang lugar sa Visayas ang nakararanas ng rotational power interruption hanggang alas 9:00 ng gabi ng Biyernes, August 11.
Ayon sa abiso ng NGCP, sa pagitan ng ala 1:00 hanggang alas 2:00 ng hapon, ang available capacity lamang ng kuryente ay 1,847 megawatts gayong ang peak demand ay 1,903 megawatts.
Mamayang alas 7:00 hanggang alas 9:00 ng gabi naman ay 1,722 megawatts ang available capacity pero 1,843 megawatts ang peak demand.
Ayon sa NGCP, ang red alert ay dahil sa generation deficiency na resulta pa rin ng pagkasira ng ilan nilang units dahil sa mga planta na naapektuhan ng lindol sa Leyte.
