Gov’t peace panel, magkikipag-usap muna kay Duterte bago ituloy ang peace talks
Makikipagpulong muna ang government peace panel kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte bago magpatuloy sa ikalimang round ng peace talks sa mga komunista.
Ito ang sinabi ni Peace Process Sec. Jesus Dureza matapos ipahayag ni Pangulong Duterte sa isang talumpati na ayaw na muna niyang ituloy ang peace talks hangga’t hindi itinitigil ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang extortion.
Ayon kay government chief negotiator Silvestre Bello III, nakatakdang ganapin ang ikalimang round ng peace talks sa National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) sa Agosoto.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Duterte na makikipagkita muna siya kay Duterte upang linawin ang tungkol sa kaniyang sinabi laban sa NPA.
Bagaman aniya binibigyan ni Duterte ng kalayaan ang peace panel sa aspeto ng negosasyon, kailangan pa rin aniya nila ng gabay ng pangulo.
