MMDA, target makumpleto ang “Estero Cleanup” operation bago dumating ang tag-ulan
Patuloy ang isinasagawang preemptive anti-flood measure ng Metro Manila Development Authority sa mga baradong sapa, estero at iba pang waterways sa National Capital Region.
Ayon kay MMDA general manager Thomas Orbos, maliban sa trapik, prayoridad din ng ahensiya na solusyunan ang pagbabaha sa Metro Manila dulot ng mga baradong estero.
Target ng MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Service team na matapos ang “Estero Cleanup” operation bago magsimula ang tag-ulan sa Hunyo.
Matapos ito, inaasahan ng ahensiya na mabilis nang huhupa ang baha sa mababang lugar sa Metro Manila.
Maliban dito, plano rin ng gobyerno na magtayo ng karagdagang pumping stations at ayusin ang ibang pasilidad ngayong taon matapos aprubahan ng National Economic and Development Authority ang P22 billion project upang aksyunan ang pagbabaha.
