Nilinaw ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na hindi pa epektibo ang interim joint bilateral ceasefire sa pagitan ng gobyerno at National Democratic Front (NDF).
Inihayag ni AFP Spokesperson BGen. Resitituto Padilla na hangga’t hindi pa nailalatag ang guidelines at ground rules para sa interim joint ceasefire ay hindi pa maipatutupad ang dokumentong nilagdaan ng peace panel sa ikaapat na round ng peace talks.
Ayon kay Padilla, ang naturang dokumento ay pagpapakita na bukas at handa ang gobyerno at NDF sa tigil-putukan.
Sinabi pa ng opisyal na patuloy pa rin ang operasyon ng militar laban sa New People’s Army (NPA).
