DOJ, bumuo ng panel para imbestigahan ang Mighty Corporation
Bumuo na si Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II ng three-man panel na magsasagawa ng preliminary investigation sa cigarette manufacturer na Mighty Corporation.
Ito’y may kaugnayan sa reklamong isinampa ng Bureau of Internal Revenue laban sa Mighty Corporation dahil sa siyam na bilyong pisong halaga ng tax evasion na kinasasankutan nito.
Itinalaga ni Aguirre si Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Sebastian Caponong Jr. para pamunuan ang nasabing panel.
Makakasama niya dito sina Assistant State Prosecutors Ma. Lourdes Uy at Mary Ann Parong.
Sisiyasatin ng nasabing panel ang paglabag ng Mighty sa National Internal Revenue Code, at sila na rin ang itinalagang maghain ng mga impormasyon sa korte sakaling makakita sila ng sapat na ebidensya laban sa kumpanya.
