Dry run ng zipper lane sa EDSA southbound, isasagawa ngayong araw
Magsasagawa ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ng dry run para sa dalawang oras na pagbubukas ng zipper lane sa EDSA southbound lane, bago nila ito tuluyang ipatupad sa Lunes.
Sa pamamagitan ng bagong traffic scheme na ito, ipapagamit sa mga motoristang pa-southbound ang innermost northbound lane mula Main Avenue sa Cubao hanggang EDSA Ortigas flyover mula 9:30 hanggang 11:30 ng umaga, Lunes hanggang Biyernes.
Ayon kay MMDA general manager Tim Orbos, lalampasan ng 2.5 kilometrong counterflow lane na ito ang choke points sa Santolan at Connecticut, na inaasahang papabor sa mga motoristang papuntang Makati City.
Isasara aniya ang U-turn slot sa kalagitnaan ng EDSA sa may Camp Crame, pati na ang flyover ramp mula EDSA papuntang Ortigas Avenue hanggang Greenhills, at ida-divert ang traffic sa mga service roads.
Inaasahang mababawasan ng hanggang sa 20 minuto ang biyahe ng mga motoristang papuntang Makati City dahil dito.
