Sa susunod na linggo ay maglalabas na ng subpoena ang Department of Justice laban kay Sen. Leila De Lima at ilan pang personalidad na umano’y sangkot sa illegal drug trade sa loob ng New Bilibid Prisons (NBP).
Ipinaliwanag ni Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II na titiyakin nilang matibay ang kanilang mga ebidensiya laban kina De Lima.
Nakahanda na rin ang gaganaping preliminary investigation sa susunod na linggo.
Ipinag-utos na rin ng kalihim ang consolidation ng mga kaso laban kay De Lima.
Kinabibilangan ito ng inihaing reklamo ni Jaybee Sebastian at National Bureau of Investigation ganun din ang kaso na isinampa ng Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) at mga dating NBI Deputy Directors na sina Ruel Lasala at Reynaldo Esmeralda.
Bukod kay De Lima, kasama sa mga kinasuhan sina former Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III, dating Bureau of Corrections Director Franklin Jesus Bucayu, former BuCor officer-in-charge Rafael Ragos, dating driver at bodyguards ni De Lima na sina Ronnie Dayan at Joenel Sanchez.
Kasama rin sa listahan ang iba pang preso na sina Herbert Colanggo, Peter Co atJojo Baligad.
Pangungunahan naman ni Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Peter Ong ang five-man investigating panel.
Kabilang rin dito sina Senior Assistant City Prosecutors Alexander Ramos, Leila Llanes, Evangeline Viudez-Canobas at si Assistant State Prosecutor Editha Fernandez.
