Pelikulang Maratabat, nanalo sa 2016 The People’s Film Festival sa New York
Itinanghal na Best International Film for Full Length Feature sa 2016 The People’s Film Festival sa New York ang Indie Film na Maratabat (Pride and Honor) ng batikang direktor at mamamahayag na si Arlyn Dela Cruz.
Ang pelikulang Maratabat, na directorial debut ni Dela Cruz, ay batay sa maraming insidente ng clan wars o away ng mga pamilya sa timog na bahagi ng Pilipinas o Mindanao.
Pinili ng “The People’s Film Festival” (TPFF) ang Maratabat para mapasama sa screening sa New York.
Napanood ang pelikula noong June 4 sa Julia de Burgos Performing Arts Center, New York.
Ayon kay Direk Dela Cruz, ang People’s Film Festival sa New York ang kauna-unahang ‘festival screening’ ng nasabing pelikula sa labas ng bansa.
Bida sa pelikulang “Maratabat” sina Julio Diaz, Ping Medina, Kristoffer King, Chanel la Torre, Richard Quan, Carlo Cruz, at Elizabeth Oropesa.
