Mayor sa Cebu, kakasuhan sa Sandiganbayan dahil ipinuwesto sa gobyerno ang kapatid
Kasong administratibo ang isasampa ng Office of the Ombudsman sa Sandiganbayan laban alkalde ng bayan ng Barili sa lalawigan Cebu.
Ito ay matapos mapatunayan ng Office of the Ombudsman na guilty sa nepotism o paglabag sa Section 9, chapter 8 ng Administrative Code of 1987 si Barili Mayor Teresito Mariñas.
Ayon sa ombudsman, itinalaga ni Mariñas bilang Human Resources Manager Officer ang kapatid nitong si Aniceto Mariñas noong 2007.
Nakasaad ang appointment sa isang memorandum order na inilabas ng alkalde.
Sinabi ng Ombudsman na malinaw na nakasaad sa Administrative Code of 1987, na lahat ng appointments sa national, provincial, city at municipal governments, na may pagpabor sa kaanak ng appointing o recommending authority, ay pinagbabawal.
