Sinabi ni Communist Party of the Philippines-National Democratic Front (CPP-NDF) founder Jose Maria Sison na wala ng pag-asa na madaya ang resulta ng halalan dahil agad itong lalabanan ng mga tao.
Pahayag ito ni Joma Sison sa gitna ng pangunguna ni Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte sa partial at unofficial results sa presidential race kasunod ng pagtatapos ng botohan.
Binanggit ni Sison na lumalabas sa early mirror server count at exit polls na nangunguna si Duterte sa kanyang mga kalaban. “I think that i can meet President Duterte soon and prepare for ceasefire, release of the political prisoners,” pahayag ni Sison.
Idinagdag ni Sison na maaari siyang bumalik sa Pilipinas at pabilisin ang peace negotiations. Umaasa si Sison na hindi na mababago ng pandaraya ang trend. Hopeless na anya ang cheating dahil lalabanan ito ng mga tao.
