Joint exercises ng U.S. at South Korea, nagsimula na

Inumpisahan na ang large-scale military exercises ng mga tropa ng Estados Unidos at South Korea na bahagi ng taunang pagsasanay ng kanilang defense sa North korea,

Ayon sa pamahalaan ng South Korea, ang joint exercises ang itinuturing nilang pinakamalaking pagsasanay kasunod ng pagsasagawa ng nuclear test ng North Korea noong Enero at paglulunsad ng long-range rocket noong nakaraang buwan na nagresulta sa pagpapataw ng sanction ng UN Security Council.

Ayon sa joint US and South Korean military command, inabisuhan nila ang North Korea na ang nasabing pagsasanay ay hindi paraan ng paghahamon.

Kabilang sa joint exercises ang 17,000 na American troops at mahigit 300,000 na South Koreans.

Sa ngayon ayon sa South Korean Defense Ministry, wala silang namomonitor na anumang ‘unusual military activity’ ng North Korea, pero magpapatawag ng emergency meeting ngayong araw ang spy agency ng Seoul para lamang tignan ang kahandaan nito sa cyber attack.

May mga nakita kasing ebidensya na tinangka ng North korea na i-jack ang mga mobile phones sa South Korea.

Magugunitang noong nakaraang linggo, sinabi ng North Korea na inihahanda na nila ang kanilang nuclear weapons at mga sundalo sa sandaling kailanganing umatake.

Ayon sa US State Deparment, itinuturing nilang seryoso ang bantang ito ng North Korea. “(We) again call on Pyongyang to cease with the provocative rhetoric, cease with the threats and quite frankly, more critically, cease with the provocative behavior, the actual conduct, that has led to yet another round of international sanctions,” ayon kay US State Department spokesman John Kirby.
