Limang admirals napasama sa shortlist para maging susunod na Coast Guard Commandant
Limang admirals ang kasama sa shortlist para maging susunod na commandant ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) kapalit ni Commandant Vice Adm. Elson Hermogino.
Kabilang sa mga kandidato ang mga sumusunod:
– Vice Adm. Joel Garcia – Deputy Commandant for operations and Director of National Coast Watch
– Rear Adm. Leopoldo Larroya – Deputy Commandant for operations
– Rear Adm. Jorge Ursabia – Commander of Marine Environmental Protection Command (PMA Class of 1987)
– Rear Adm. Lyndon La Torre – Commander of Internal Affairs Service
– Rear Adm. Joselito dela Cruz – Commander of Maritime Security Command
Ayon kay PCG spokesperson Capt. Arman Balilo, ang listahan ng mga kandidato ay naipadala na kay Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade.
Si Tugade ang siyang mag-eendorso kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Si Hermogino na miyembro ng PMA “Sandiwa” Class of 1985, ay nakatakdang magretiro sa Oct. 22.
